Founding Fathers

The Spirit of Rebellion. The Blueprint of Liberty. The Fire Behind NJ Accountability.

The Constitution Was Never Meant to Be Passive.

Our Founding Fathers didn’t just write a document.
They crafted a warning to future governments, and a set of tools for the people.

They were revolutionaries, insurgents, and risk-takers.
They were hunted as traitors to the Crown.
They were willing to sacrifice wealth, family, even life, to create something new:
A government that serves the people, and answers to them.

What they left behind is not just a parchment in a museum.
They left us with a call to action, a set of limits on authority, and an unwavering demand:

“Hold us accountable. And if we break faith, fight back.”

That is what NJ Accountability is built on.

We are not here to reinterpret history, we’re here to fulfill it.

Words of Warning from the Founders Themselves

These were not soft men.

They saw tyranny, they fought it, and they feared it would return.

Thomas Jefferson

“The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.”

Jefferson didn’t say to trust your government. He said to watch it like a hawk.
The moment you let your guard down, power will overstep.

“In questions of power, then, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution.”

This isn’t metaphor. The Constitution is a leash, meant to restrain the government like a dangerous beast.
NJ Accountability pulls that leash hard.

James Madison

“If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary.”

Madison understood human nature. Power corrupts, and without hard limits, it will abuse.

“The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands... is the very definition of tyranny.”

When police write the narrative, control the footage, and investigate themselves, that is tyranny. That is why we film, we audit, and we file public records requests.

Benjamin Franklin

“Whoever would overthrow the liberty of a nation must begin by subduing the freeness of speech.”

When you’re told to stop filming. When you're arrested for words. When your speech offends authority and gets punished, that’s the exact enemy Franklin warned us about.

“They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

Your rights are not negotiable. They are not suspended for convenience. And if public servants are uncomfortable with oversight, they are unfit for duty.

John Adams

“A Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever.”

We don’t get second chances. The moment we allow unlawful stops, retaliatory arrests, falsified reports, or sealed misconduct files, and do nothing, we’ve helped destroy what they bled for.

The Constitution Is a Command, Not a Suggestion

Every word in the Bill of Rights was written in the shadow of oppression.

  • The First Amendment protects our speech, our right to record, to assemble, to dissent.

  • The Fourth Amendment defends us from unlawful searches, stops, and seizures.

  • The Fifth and Sixth Amendments give us due process, legal protection, and the right to hold government accountable.

These aren’t polite requests.
They are limits.

And when the State ignores those limits, it becomes illegitimate.

NJ Accountability is not here to ask politely. We are here to enforce the Constitution by necessity, because history shows what happens when the people don’t.

This Is the Legacy We Inherit, and Defend

The Founders never said this work would be easy. They knew power doesn’t surrender voluntarily. They knew future generations would have to push back, or fall under the very tyranny they overthrew.

That’s why we:

  • Record every encounter with public officials.

  • File OPRA and FOIA requests to expose lies and omissions.

  • Resist unlawful orders with law and camera.

  • Educate the public on the rights they’ve been told to forget.

  • Name names when public servants break their oath.

This is not radical.
This is not violent.
This is American.

The Founders Would Be on Our Side, And We Know It.

They didn’t die for silence.
They didn’t rebel for compliance.
They didn’t sign their names in ink just so future bureaucrats could trample the people who empowered them.

NJ Accountability stands in the same spirit:

  • That rights mean nothing without enforcement.

  • That government without accountability becomes abuse.

  • That citizens who kneel quietly do not inherit freedom, only subjugation.

Final Word: Our Oath to Theirs

We are not here to remember the Founding Fathers, we are here to finish what they started.

To enforce the Constitution.
To expose the oath-breakers.

To protect the rights of the people with the same fire that burned in 1776.

They pledged their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor.

We pledge our vigilance, our voice, and our refusal to ever settle for less than the liberty they guaranteed.

This is NJ Accountability.

We don’t worship the Constitution, we wield it.
